The Show of Wheels Car & Truck Show, May 24th, 2008
One of Southeast Iowa's premier car & truck shows

Fairfield, (Iowa) – Iowa Rod & Custom Promotions, a division of Nelson Specialties, Inc announces today that the Show of Wheels show will be on the Fairfield City Square again and will be welcoming some new attraction vehicles this year.

Our show is moving to a different format this year in that we will be moving away from the heavy class atmosphere and moving towards a more relaxed show. The show will be a Top 25 show, with focuses on Top 5 Street Rod, Top 5 Street Machine, Top 5 Truck, Top 5 Original and Top 5 Bike. We will still have the special awards as well. Dash plates to all participants and car show t-shirts will be available for purchase.

This year, we are proud to announce we have from The Dukes of Hazzard TV show, a General Lee and Sheriff Rosco’ Squad Car, a 2008 Dodge Charger B5, a limited edition Jeep Cherokee SRT8 Hemi and some very special local favorites including a 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible and a very sharp recently restored Camaro.

The Show of Wheels Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th, 2008. The show will be held rain or shine.

Welcome to the Iowa Rod & Custom Promotions website.

Iowa Rod & Custom was formed in 1994 and has slowly grown over the last 11 years. I started by attending car shows in the late 80s and early 90s. I saw how many car show participants were happy about where they showed and how they were often disappointed about the show they attended. I researched and took care to make notes about how shows were run and worked on a plan to make my shows the best they could be by making it fun and enjoyable for the participant and the spectator.

Today, Iowa Rod & Custom Promotions, Inc promotes several shows each year. I started with one show in my hometown of Fairfield, Show of Wheels 2000 and now have 4 car shows in 2005 with other events planned for 2006 and 2007. With the anticipated construction of the Jefferson County Civic Center in Fairfield, IA and Bridge View in Ottumwa, IA, Iowa Rod & Custom hopes to bring indoor events in the future.

Iowa Rod & Custom offers consultation services on how to create and promote events for your business or organization. Contact us and we would be glad to discuss your ideas and see how we can help you.

We have expanded. Iowa Rod & Custom Trophy, is your source for affordable trophies and awards for your events. Starting May 2005, we are offering sublimation products. Examples include Digital images on T-Shirts, license plates, key chains, clocks, signs, etc. If you have an idea just email or call us and ask. We'll see what we can do for you. We know your businesses and organizations have budgets. We will work hard to give you the best product and stay within your budget.

Please browse our website and bookmark it for return visits. We will begin posting other clubs and organizations shows and events as the season unfolds. If your club or organization has a show or Cruise Night that you want posted, please submit the info by email. Please include the name of the show, date, city & state and contact number. Please send in at least 4-6 weeks in advance of date. As with all things, everything takes time. If you do not see your info posted, contact us and we'll see what's up.
